MPACT youth will be having a bible study every Wednesday night starting with a light meal at 5:30 p.m. and the bible study will follow at 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  All MPACT kids will need to bring their bible with them and if they do not have one we will have bibles that they can keep.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the church office by email or phone.  You can email at cassidyumc@cassidyumc.net or call at 417-582-3632.


JAM, Jesus and Me, will begin Wednesday evening September 6th at 5:30 for a light meal and then from 6 to 7.  All children ages pre-k through 5th grade are invited to come and learn all about Jesus and the Bible and why we are christians.  JAM is every Wednesday night from 5:30-7 until the end of May.  This year we will be going on a trip to discover all the books of the bible and what they are trying to teach us.  Every child is asked to bring a bible and we will provide one for any child who doesn’t have one.  Please plan to bring your child on Wednesday night to discover who Jesus is.  There are multiple adult classes that are available during the JAM sessions.  There is an adult bible study, crocheting group, and a IMPACT Youth bible study for kids 6th grade to 12th grade.  If you have any questions or concerns please email Megan Sobaski, Family & Children’s Ministry Director, at cassidyumcchildren@gmail.com or contact the church office M-F 8am-2pm at 417-582-3632.


Cassidy UMC MPACT Youth will be having a fundraising CAR WASH on Saturday, August 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  They will be raising money for their trip to the Festival of Sharing in Sedalia this year.  The Festival of Sharing is one of the Youth’s favorite missions and mission trip they do each year.  Please plan to stop by and get you car washed for any donation and not only drive away with a clean and shiny car but also the feeling of giving to the youth and inspiring their missions.


Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. will be the kick off practice for this year’s church choir.  There is always room for more voices in the choir so please if you are interested in joining contact Jacki Seidner, CUMC Choir Director or contact the church office.


HOWL-A-PAW-LOOZA is coming to Cassidy on August 19, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  This is a fundraising event sponsored by Ozark Veterinarian Clinic for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Cassidy United Methodist Church will be hosting this event and Pastor C will be here to offer pet blessings and special prayers for pets and their owners.  Everyone is welcome to attend and bring their dogs with them. Who’s ready to learn why God Made Us all differently?  Children age 3 to incoming 5th graders are invited to come attend Cassidy United Methodist VBS this year from July 23-July 26, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  This year VBS is all about how God Made Us all unique and for a special purpose.  Are you ready to get geared up for God and create all kinds of fun and unique things and explore all of God’s amazing inventions and creations and their specific purpose that our God created them for?  If so please register your child at https://vbspro.events/p/cassidyumc  Please save the dates for July 23-26, 2017 for the Maker VBS!


In conjunction with Relay for Life, there will be a special service here at the church this Sunday evening, June 25, at 6:00 pm.  Cassidy Fights Back will be a special service of music and prayer, and a time to remember those who have lost their battle with cancer, honor those currently fighting the disease and celebrate those that have fought and survived the battle.


Megan Sobaski will hold Safe Sanctuary training between services on July 2,  July 9 and July 16.  These will be very short informational meetings to go over policies and hand out background check forms.  Anyone working at VBS that has not been trained in the last 12 months should plan to attend one of these meetings.


A group of Volunteers from Ozark will be hosting a Bunco Party at Cassidy UMC on Friday, May 12 at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets are $15 and include pizza and drinks.  You can purchase your tickets at the church office.  There will also be an auction with proceeds going to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital to help with meals.


The United Methodist Men will sponsor our annual Garage Sale (held in the fellowship hall) on Saturday, May 13 at 9:00 a.m.  Start collecting your priceless treasures (clothes, household items, tools, toys, etc).  You may start bringing your items to the church on Monday, May 1st (please do not brings items any earlier, we do not have a place to store them). Items will be priced at the church.   Proceeds from this sale will help send kids to camp.
