Cassidy United Methodist Church is to fulfill the purposes of God for our church as we continually grow to a fuller understanding of those purposes: that our members continually reach out into the community to develop relationships of love and care that introduce people of all ages and backgrounds to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ; that our members foster worship and welcoming activities that encourage people of all ages and backgrounds; that our members engage in spiritual growth activities to continually deepen their faith and their love for God and to grow in their understanding and implementation of God's call upon their lives; and that our members strive to implement God's call by sharing love with others through servant ministries by the use of their energies, gifts, and resources.

1.   Momentum Praise & Worship Leader - Saturday night 5:00 service. This is a part-time salaried position responsible for coordinating, managing, and directing the music ministry for a praise and worship service. This position requires planning and executing the following components including but not limited to: organize, plan, and direct the Momentum Service, select songs in coordination with the theme of each worship service throughout the year. Coordinate musicians for each service. Candidate should be enthusiastic, high energy, self-starter, encourager, and visionary. This position is supervised by the Senior Pastor.

Current Events

During the Lent Season, self-serve communion will be available every Sunday in the Prayer Chapel. You are welcome to take part in this communion after the regular worship service.

 (seniors over 55),please sign up on the bulletin tear-off and make your plans to go to Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, AR, on April 10!!  Free admission.  We will carpool to this famous art museum which is given by the Walton Family.  Meet at the church at 9:45 and carpools will leave at 10:00 AM.  There is a sandwich bar and restaurant at the museum for lunch.  “Devotion time” will be held at the church before leaving or on the beautiful grounds around the museum, depending on the weather.  Don’t forget to bring a bag of SUGAR to donate to Least of These.  For more details, please contact Jim & Bonnie Lofton, who are our leaders for this C-SALT event --- 551-4353; thank you Jim & Bonnie!

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt here at the church on Saturday, April 19. We are requesting donations of candy to fill plastic eggs for the hunt.  We have plenty of eggs.  Please bring the candy by the office anytime or on Sunday.

Palm Sunday Service                                   Sunday, April 13, 10:45 am  
Calling All Kids….all the children of the church will lead the Procession of Palms at the beginning of the service. Kids, please come at 10:20 to get your palms. The choir will have special music at this service.
Maundy Thursday Service                         Thursday, April 17, 7:00 pm
A new way to look at Jesus’ sacrifice. Come join us for the Mime presentation of “What Did I Forget?” The Choir will be singing and Jake Archer will sing Via Delarosa. Communion will be served at the conclusion of our service.
Easter Egg Hunt                                        Saturday, April 19, 10:00 am
Our children will be having an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 19 at 10:00. Please bring your children and their friends. We will decorate our Easter sacks and play some games and join together in an Easter Egg Hunt. We would like the older children to come and help hide the eggs. 
Easter Sunrise Service                                   Sunday, April 20, 7:00 am
This service will be held inside in the Sanctuary.   There will be music and a short message about the “Symbols of the Cross”. Come and join us for a short service to welcome in Easter! Communion will be served.
Easter Brunch                                     Sunday, April 20, 9:30-10:30 am
Join us for our Easter Brunch at 9:30 on Easter Morning. Please bring a breakfast dish and join in the fellowship and help us celebrate Easter with each other.
Easter Worship Service                               Sunday, April 20, 10:45 am
Come and celebrate with us the Resurrection of Christ and what it means for us. We will celebrate with song and word.   Communion will be celebrated at the end of service.
