Welcome

Cassidy United Methodist Church is to fulfill the purposes of God for our church as we continually grow to a fuller understanding of those purposes: that our members continually reach out into the community to develop relationships of love and care that introduce people of all ages and backgrounds to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ; that our members foster worship and welcoming activities that encourage people of all ages and backgrounds; that our members engage in spiritual growth activities to continually deepen their faith and their love for God and to grow in their understanding and implementation of God's call upon their lives; and that our members strive to implement God's call by sharing love with others through servant ministries by the use of their energies, gifts, and resources.

Current Events

Pastor Charlene will be leading a new class, Equipped for Every Good Work, beginning Wednesday, October 15 at 6:00. This 4-week class will focus on finding your spiritual gifts. “How can we truly commit to serving Jesus Christ and fulfilling God’s mission if we don’t know what resources we have to do the work?” Please indicate on the tear-off if you are interested in attending.

C-SALT friends (age 55+) will meet Thursday, October 16, at the church at noon. We will share an A-B-C Luncheon, which means you are to bring a dish of food that begins with the same letter as your LAST NAME. What a variety of foods we should have for lunch!!! Table service and drinks will be provided; therefore, all you need to bring is your dish of food to share. After our lunch, we will enjoy a presentation from Dr. Dick Lynn of his most recent mission trip. Also, our charity for the month will be Least of These, so please bring non-perishable food that also begins with the same letter as your last name.

The United Methodist Women will provide an Italian Lunch for our monthly fellowship dinner next Sunday, Oct. 19. Please plan to stay following the 2nd service for a variety of Italian treats. Donations will be accepted for the local school Care-to-Learn program.

Saturday, October 25 at 5:00 pm, Cassidy will host a Trunk or Treat for all the area ghosts and goblins. There will be decorated trunks to visit for treats, and hot dogs and sides will be served. Everyone is welcome to come in costume. Please let us know if you plan to decorate a trunk so that parking lot plans may be made. We also need donations of Halloween candy. Indicate on the tear-off if you plan to decorate a trunk and/or can donate candy
