Welcome

Cassidy United Methodist Church is to fulfill the purposes of God for our church as we continually grow to a fuller understanding of those purposes: that our members continually reach out into the community to develop relationships of love and care that introduce people of all ages and backgrounds to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ; that our members foster worship and welcoming activities that encourage people of all ages and backgrounds; that our members engage in spiritual growth activities to continually deepen their faith and their love for God and to grow in their understanding and implementation of God's call upon their lives; and that our members strive to implement God's call by sharing love with others through servant ministries by the use of their energies, gifts, and resources.

PANS OF PRAISE – SUNDAY, AUG. 3
Pans of Praise is a steel drum ensemble group from Trinidad. They are students ages 15 to 20 who sacrifice time spent at home, with friends and family to travel around the United States performing steel drum music. Ken Babwah began the group twelve years ago with one main goal in mind - fund raising to purchase land for a church in Trinidad. Trinidad is a country that is stricken with poverty and has a high cost of living. An acre of land will cost $200,000. This group will be performing in our service on Sunday, August 3. Please plan to attend and enjoy this unique music. A special offering will be taken.
If you would be willing to
provide the group of 4 a place to stay on Saturday night, August 2, please let Pastor Charlene or the church office know.

SPECIAL --- SPECIALC-SALT DAY:
For those of us over 55 who enjoy taking a day out-of-town, we are going to have a “Special C-SALT Day” once each calendar quarter. This will be in addition to our regular once-a-month C-SALT gatherings, as we plan for all regular monthly gatherings to be held at the church in the future.
For this third quarter of 2014, we are planning our special day for Friday, August 8th. We will travel to the beautiful Keeter Center near College of the Ozarks for lunch and devotions. Next, we will take a drive through the campus of College of the Ozarks, and can choose to stop at any of these places: the Fruitcake/Jelly Kitchen for goodies, Edwards Mill for bread and watch basket/rug weaving, Greenhouse for plants, Ralph Foster Museum, and the Chapel, if it is open.
Let’s meet at the church at 10:15 AM on Friday, August 8th to carpool.
Sign up today on your bulletin tear-off, as we have to make reservations for our lunch.
Make plans to be a part of this day!!

Heart Saver CPR/First Aid Class – will be held here on August 16, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Cost is $30 per person. Please indicate below if you would like to attend.
